                  Seven sister stars                       ← 5 syllables 

                 Massive stars in the night sky        ← 7 syllables

                 Nine brightening stars                    ← 5 syllables

 

                 Maori tradition                               ←5 syllables

                 Tawhirimatea god                          ← 7 syllables

                  Ranginui sky                                  ← 5 syllables

This is my Matariki poem. It is a Haiku poem. I had to clap each syllable in a pattern to figure out the syllables.  It went 5 syllables then 7 syllables then 5 syllables.
